Gentle winter vacation at the Lake Resia

Winter hiking through landscapes covered with deep snow

The Lake Resia shines as bright as a mirror, the snow-covered alpine pastures are gentle and wide, the mountain air is clear and pure. An almost heavenly silence lies over the land, if you roam the rustic Val Roja with your touring skis very early in the morning.  Or when you set off on snowshoes up to Plamort, Maseben or the Rescher Alm hut. Whether it is you who make the first tracks in the still untouched snow or whether you are on perfectly groomed paths - there are 60 kilometers of them in the vacation region of Passo Resia alone - there is no more immediate way to experience the fascination of winter.

A quiet ski tour paradies

In addition to the Val Roja Valley, which is truly unique in its authenticity, you will also find ideal conditions for your ski tours - in particular in the Vallunga Valley. Looking at the peaks of the Ötztal Alps, with nothing but the quiet beauty of the landscape around you, climb the southern slope of the Glockhauser or other exciting destinations. What is important here is the right equipment, tour preparation and a careful look at the weather and avalanche conditions.

Toboggan riding

On your skids, get set, go

Many a wintry ascent has but one goal: a fun-filled toboggan ride. A great experience for the whole family, which can also be a little faster than usual. Or even romantic. Moonlight tobogganing. For example on the toboggan run in Resia, which is illuminated until 11 pm. The 8 km long toboggan run in Nauders, which starts directly at the mountain station of the Bergkastel cable car at an altitude of 2,200 meters, is a fun experience for the whole family.

Iceskating

Fascination Ice

Ice skaters, snowboarders and ice surfers have long appreciated the Lakes Resia and Lake San Valentino alla Muta, because once both are frozen, the season usually lasts a long time. From December to March, ice sports enthusiasts can indulge in their passion here, sheltered by a mountain scenery that is second to none.
