Seehotel Panorama Relax: Certified Sustainable Hotel in South Tyrol

Because our home deserves a future

Every morning, we look out over Lake Resia. At the shimmering water, the impressive mountains and a landscape that has inspired generations. For us, it is far more than a beautiful backdrop – it is our home. As a family-run hotel, we feel a responsibility towards this special place. That is why we do not see sustainability as a trend or a short-term project, but as an attitude. An attitude that guides our daily thoughts and actions and that we continue to develop step by step.

We hold the South Tyrol Sustainability Label® – Level 2

This certification confirms our path towards responsible tourism and makes our commitment visible. It stands for clear sustainability criteria that are regularly reviewed and continuously developed further.

For us, however, the label represents much more than a certification. It is a promise – to our guests, our employees and to the unique natural environment surrounding Lake Resia.

Our decisions are guided by the values that define South Tyrol: respectful use of resources, regional value creation, social responsibility and the desire to preserve our home as a place worth living in for future generations.

“For us, sustainability is not a destination, but a journey.”

Together for the future
Act today. Preserve tomorrow.
“For us, sustainability is not a destination, but a journey.”

Over the coming years, we aim to develop Seehotel Panorama Relax step by step into a truly sustainable wellness hotel – without compromising on the comfort, warm hospitality and quality our guests value. Rather than focusing on short-term individual measures, we are committed to long-term development. We analyse our energy consumption, optimise existing processes and invest in solutions that combine environmental responsibility with economic sustainability. Our goal is to create a place where a deep connection with nature, genuine well-being and responsible action naturally go hand in hand.

Responsibility begins with energy

Using energy consciously is one of the key pillars of our sustainability strategy. With our 100 kWp photovoltaic system, we generate a significant share of our electricity directly on the hotel roof. For heating, we rely on a 350 kW woodchip heating system, powered by locally sourced wood and replacing fossil fuels. At the same time, we make efficient use of the waste heat generated in the process – including for our tumble dryers. This allows us to use existing resources more than once and make energy use as efficient as possible. By continuously monitoring our energy consumption, we create the basis for ongoing improvements to our processes and can identify and make targeted use of potential energy savings.

For us, sustainability begins with the way we source our products. Whenever possible, we work with producers, suppliers and local businesses from South Tyrol and the Lake Resia region. Short transport routes, seasonal products and long-standing partnerships not only strengthen the regional economy, but also give our hotel its authentic character. The result is a holiday experience that is deeply connected to the region – genuine, enjoyable and unmistakably unique.

Together for the future

A sustainable hotel is not created through modern technology alone.

It is shaped by the people who bring it to life every day with dedication and passion.

We promote an appreciative working environment, value open and respectful communication, and create the conditions for our employees to grow and develop over the long term. Because only together can we take responsibility – for our guests, our region and our future.

Act today. Preserve tomorrow.

Our greatest wish is for our guests to take home not only unforgettable holiday memories, but also the reassuring feeling of having stayed in a place that respects nature and treats its home with care and responsibility.

Because for us, true luxury is not about consuming more, but about being more mindful.

For Lake Resia. For our region. For the generations to come.

Because we want future generations to be able to experience this special place just as we do today.
